Young European Contemporary Jazz Ensemble

These 7 young musicians perform compositions written exclusively for the ensemble by its artistic director, Vincent Pellerin. Nourished by contemporary European and American jazz, the orchestra synthesizes sectional writing processes inspired by Maria Schneider, John Hollenbeck and Kenny Wheeler, with electric guitar sounds such as those of Reiner Baas, Ping Machine and the Metropole Orchestra. Through improvisation and interplay, the performers evolve and freely test the limits of the imposed aesthetic framework. They modify the contours and, as a result, transform an individual process into a collective synergy. The repertoire, conceived by program, is composed "all at once", in order to offer a strong, coherent show, a real listening experience in which to invest oneself freely.

KLING!

European Jazz Trio

KLING! is dedicated to the aesthetics of contemporary electric guitar jazz trio. Inspired by the great names of this scene (Bill Frisell, Gilad Hekselman, Kurt Rosenwinkel), the trio's musicians draw, digest and integrate the musical processes they feel are relevant to their shared musical space. Within the framework of the compositions thus created, the performers then evolve/improvise freely. Almost "manipulated" by this framework, they modulate themselves, almost unconsciously, to get as close as possible to the imposed aesthetic. They offer a privileged space in which their instrumental play and creativity are optimized. The project emphasizes the whole, the group sound, as well as the balancing act of improvisation, so that each listener can let himself be carried away by the emotions and stories our music provides.

AZUL AL SOL

Argentinean Music Duo

The duo explores the traditional repertoire of Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. Drawing on their experience acquired at various conservatories in France and Argentina, the two musicians arrange for guitar/voice the Latin American titles that are closest to their hearts. The result is a surprisingly energetic and inventive live show, at times danceable, at times contemplative. Interspersed with anecdotes and contextualizations, their musical performance is coupled with a cultural and educational dimension designed to appeal to a very wide audience.

ABOUT

Vincent Pellerin began his musical training with classical guitar. Alongside his music studies, he developed a passion for amplified music and rock, from which he forged his musical universe and discoveries: blues, jazz(s), funk, classical and electronic music, and finally traditional Argentinean music. Now a graduate in Classical Guitar and Jazz, it's through the creation of projects that his musical research develops. And through his various collaborations and encounters with people who share his love of music.
